Today is a BIG day for us. We're so proud to pioneer the MADE SAFE seal in the baby toys sector. We've been working hard for many years to find the safest materials.

We've been passionate about doing all it takes to bring to market products that are different, healthier, and better for the environment. Thanks so much Made Safe for bringing us all a seal we can trust when we want to choose the best for our family!

Press Release Dated August 26, 2017

MADE SAFE certified products from Bioserie are made without known carcinogens, endocrine disruptors, reproductive toxins, or other chemicals found to harm human health

HONG KONG –BIOSERIE is leading the way in consumer health and safety by pioneering the revolutionary new MADE SAFE® (Made With Safe Ingredients) seal. Products with this emblem are available in stores and on the company’s website starting today. As the first nontoxic certification to apply widely to consumer products, the MADE SAFE seal empowers shoppers to find and purchase items that have been screened for chemicals known to harm human health and the environment. For the first time, people can easily find items that are safe for use on their bodies, with their babies, and in their homes. BIOSERIE joins companies from across the personal care, baby, and household product categories to use this groundbreaking seal.

“Since the creation of our company in late 2009, we’ve been committed to using the best of green science to design beautiful durable consumer products. Through a lot of research, with passion and enduring enthusiasm, our small team has managed to bring to life what we hope will become new classics in the industry: basic developmental toys that are smart, convenient, and most importantly, truly safe for our health and our environment. We’re so proud to be able to prove the sincerity of our claims with the MADESAFE® seal”, said Stephanie Triau, co-founder and CEO of Bioserie.

The MADE SAFE seal is an independent third-party verification that screens products for known toxic chemicals harmful to human health. Products carrying this seal have undergone rigorous ingredient screening to ensure they don’t contain known carcinogens, endocrine disruptors, reproductive toxins, neurotoxins, behavioral toxins, flame retardants, heavy metals, high-risk pesticides, toxic solvents, VOCs, or GMOs, according to scientifically authoritative and expert lists from around the world. It then goes above and beyond to screen ingredients for bioaccumulation (builds up in the body), persistence (builds up in the environment), and general and aquatic toxicity with an aim to close data gaps, making it the leading health and safety standard in the country.

Bioserie’s whole current line of baby toys is certified, more details can be found at

“We’re proud to partner with Bioserie to give consumers a guiding light in the darkness around toy safety,” said Amy Ziff, founder and executive director of the MADE SAFE certification. “MADE SAFE means ingredients have been examined to ensure they don’t include known harmful chemicals; this is the future of safe product formulation.”

Bioserie's technological achievements have gained international recognition from their beginnings.  Bioserie is one of the first brands in the world to achieve 100% biobased certification by USDA's BioPreferred program in the consumer products fields, and the first in the toy industry. Their products have already won several awards both in the USA and in Europe.

What Bioserie brings to market is not just another brand. Not only are they creating nice products, but also these very products are their way of doing the best they can to help create a better world for our children.

The MADE SAFE seal aims to solve the chemical conundrum for people looking to protect themselves and their families from toxics in their everyday items. With scant legislation, little to no regulation around chemicals in commerce, and undisclosed ingredients, it’s nearly impossible for people to ascertain whether or not a product may cause harm. Until the MADE SAFE seal, no single trusted symbol has existed to signal parents that products are not made with chemicals that can harm their families’ health.

“As a parent, this is the seal I want for the products I use on my own body, for my children and in my home,” says Ziff.

“As a consumer, I often feel puzzled when looking at product packaging language. I started to do more and more research about what’s really inside what I buy when becoming a parent. The MADESAFE®  seal is finally something that can bring peace of mind to all consumers looking for products that are really safe to use for their whole family and their home, and we’re proud to pioneer that seal for toys!” says Triau.
